ANVIL COVER
An anvil cover is a protective sleeve or layer fitted over the anvil cylinder in rotary die-cutting machines used in the corrugation industry. In the rotary die-cutting process, cutting dies shape, crease, or perforate sheets of corrugated board by pressing them against the rotating anvil cylinder. The anvil cover protects this cylinder from direct contact with the dies and helps maintain cutting precision and machine longevity.

Functions of an Anvil Cover
- Protection:
- Shields the anvil cylinder from wear caused by continuous contact with cutting dies.
- Improved Cutting Precision:
- Provides a soft, uniform surface, ensuring smooth and accurate cuts without damaging the material.
- Shock Absorption:
- Absorbs the impact of cutting dies, reducing wear on both the cylinder and the dies.
- Extended Equipment Lifespan:
- Prevents damage to expensive machine components, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
